hi
my boyfriend and I are planning on having a baby and we've been trying for 4 months and nothing. I had a GYN exam and it came back normal, nothing's wrong with me down there. no STD's, infection, virus, cancer. I told him to get checked but, he's waiting, for what I dont know. I would rather he get himself checked out before the usual one year after trying. I'd rather know now if something is wrong now than waiting another 8 months...I'm 31 and he's 27, Im not getting any younger and once I hit 35 everything slows down for us women. I have an 11 year old and we all want to have a bigger family....how can I get him to go to the doctor? Please help.... :-)

Hi There,
First your boyfriend must be committed to having a healthy child and asking him to get an exam is not asking too much. Does your bf not like doctors, etc... to begin with, is there any STD history that you know of?
Having a baby is a major committment and should be shared by both partners, it is a committment requiring 100% from you both.
There is no real way to "make him" go. As an adult he should be able to clearly make a responsible descision.
