If you continue to see changes, the responsible thing to do is have it checked out. The odds are that everything is fine. But you should still have it checked if changes over time.

I had a zit/ingrown hair or something just above my penis about 2 months ago and after it went away there was a mis-colored spot that hasn't gone away since. It is kinda freaking me out but from the posts I see here I'm not as worried, any info or insight would be helpfull.

What many of you are describing sounds like Tinea Cruris (also called ringworm of the groin). This is a fungal infection of the groin area, and even though it looks bad and may itch it is not as bad as you might think. It is superficial by nature (in the skin only) and is caused mostly because it is so warm and moist in the groin area and prime for fungal growth. To get rid of this is pretty easy:
First, begin and continue to keep good hygiene- not just in your genital region, but also all over your body to curb the infection and reduce the fungal load on your body.
Next, try to wear or use cotton underpants/ underwears. These can absorb the moisture that supports the growth of the fungi in the groin.
Third and finally, if the patches still remain after a couple of weeks, then apply the Anti-fungal agent called Ketoconazole. If you cannot find that get athletes foot cream, it is basically the same but does not have the same dosage so it may take a little longer to clear up. Apply liberally to the infected area. You should see improvement in a couple days to weeks. If not see a dermatologist as your problem may be a little more serious, but I can confidently say this will cure the issue for about 90% of you.
Good luck

I have battled with this since when I was maybe 12. I am 23 now. At first it was really embarrassing but to be honest, It's totally fine and normal. It's just irregular pigmentation. Half my penis is way darker then other parts of it and its all kinda just scattered and patchy looking. Not ideal, but who the f**k cares. Every penis looks dfferent.
I don't know what ladies might fear about it, but as a gay guy, I can tell you that every time I had to finally show one of my partners my patchy peen, they usually just said "ok, what?"
One person even referred to my penis as a "moo-cow", on account of the pathes. At one point I told him I was gong to attempt to see if it could be fixed and he even told me to f**k the idea and leave it, cus he thought it was cool. Ive since dated 3 other people. They all said the same thing "Hey that's prety cool".
Nobody cares. Its just a color. Does your penis work? Is it healthy? Well ok then!
