Try taking zofran or ondansetron and Benadryl. Take them together and it'll help. It helps me. I've been suffering from similar problems for 8 months. This helps so much. Also manage your anxiety and breathe. I hope it helps you guys like it helped me. :) feel better.

Reading all of these posts makes me realize that I am not alone, AND that many of you are looking to the wrong resources for your stomach woes. Causes of nausea and vomiting in the morning that most doctors don't check for, are not limited to but include bacterial or yeast overgrowth in your colon (antibiotics, anyone?), a parasite (of yes, they do exist, and can exist in you for years!), adrenal fatigue, thyroid problems and metabolic disorders. Routine lab work does not test for any of these things which can lead one feeling really frustrated as they leave the doctor with yet another prescription drug to "fix" the problem, when all the doctor is really treating is the symptom.

After years of headaches, nausea in the morning, low blood sugars and fatigue, I finally went to a functional medicine M.D. (there's only one here in the whole city of Buffalo!) because I started developing diarrhea so bad that I couldn't leave the house. Multiple doctors before her told me that I had anxiety or was too stressed (throwing it back on ME because they didn't know what was wrong, talk about wanting to punch your doctors!) and wanted to treat my symptoms with Botox, Tums, Metamucil, antidepressants, etc...but not one of them did a thorough review of my symptoms OR my health history (very important). If they had, they MIGHT have realized what my new functional medicine doctor did, which was that I have been on a gamete of antibiotics in my life for UTI's, and my IBS started shortly after a round of antibiotics and steroids last spring. Since your GI holds 4 lbs of good bacteria to digest your food and makes up 80% of your immune system, wouldn't it make since that my symptoms could be caused by a yeast and or bacterial overgrowth in my gut?! NOT ONE OF THEM SUGGESTED THIS!!!

She now has me on a specialized diet to prevent further yeast growth (low carb, no dairy, no wheat), natural antifungals to kill the yeast and enzymes to restore digestion (Nature's Sunshine Candida Clear for 28 days), probiotics to restore the good bacteria (VSL#3 and saccharomyces boulardii), and supplements to restore the health of my damaged intestinal cells (fish oil pills, 4 a day, and Metagenics - GI Sustain Leaky Gut Syndrome Medical Food, 4 scoops a day). She is also doing a stool culture to see if I have any bacterial overgrowth. I start the whole program tomorrow and am excited to start feeling better, but a little nervous because candida die off makes you feel much worst the first week from all of the toxins they release. C'est la vie, I will do whatever it takes to get well and get my life back!!

Please, if you are having nausea or vomiting see a functional medicine doctor. They specialize in finding the cause of disorders instead of just treating symptoms.

When I first started to get sick earlier this year I was in my last semester of nursing school but was too sick to continue going. I was given a medical withdrawal and will be heading back in January with a much different view of medicine and how to treat "mystery" illnesses. I plan to use this experience to help my patients. Working all things for good : )

Also, I just wanted to add that if you're a renegade and decide to diagnosis yourself with a candida overgrowth, make sure that you follow ALL of the steps to cure it or it will never go away as it is very hard to kill. You must follow all of these steps 1) Anti-Candida diet for at least one month (no wheat, no dairy), usually 4 months (make sure to have only 1 serving of grains and only 1-2 servings of berries) 2) Good probiotics to repopulate your GI tract (start them slowly so you don't get sick), 3) Natural anti-fungals to kill the b****r (caprylic acid, Paul D'Arco, oregano oil), 4) Enzymes for digestion, 5) Glutamine to heal the soft tissues in your intestines (a good natural source is bone broth), 6) Fish oil to reduce inflammation and 7) ZInc and selenium supplement (people with leaky gut don't absorb these well. Good luck!

I'm not sure on how you feel about alternative medicines, but a little bit of cannabis and a hot shower take care of my morning shortness of breath/nausea.

I was going to say cannabis is the only thing that has worked for me also.

I am the same way. I have been experiencing this almost exactly. Cannabis is the only solution to this and I do not understand why, although it is a much needed relief for a chronic, frustrating, embarrassing, intimidating problem that apparently I am not the only person experiencing. Someone needs to find an answer. I am a healthy 21 year old white male, I work as a server and can hardly make it work; luckily i can spend all day preparing myself for what is usually a shift later on in the day. I need help but the scariest part is that I have gone to the ER as well, gotten chest and abdominal xrays, bloodwork (i was so malnourished it caused me to lose consciousness) and it all came back clean. Attached to a bill.

I have had something near exactly like this though mine has always been in the morning then randomly all day (minus the diarea) for nearly 5 years. I have had so many test come up negitve, so may useless prescriptions i have somewhat given up finding answers. It has progressively gotten worse over the years. I have unfortunately only found one way that helps with the nausea and lets me eat and that is marijuana. Now I'm not saying that this is the right thing to do but it dose cover it better than any anti-nausia pill I've tried (and I'll tried a lot).

Hello, For about 5 years now I wake up with extreme nausea. I throw up all day.. It is the most incredible constant pain every day that I can explain. Over the years and being checked out by several doctors. They can never find anything wrong. They run scans take tests etc... But what I have come to realize is why they cant ever see anything int he scans is because what is causing the pain is some Some kind of Gas that is causing my upper abdomen to feel like my stomach is about to explode. I have been dealing wit this for so long every day I don't even feel like I have life sometimes.

There are 3 cures that work for men when this is happening.

1. Take a hot show the hottest you can stand i usually me to burp a lot releasing pressure in my stomach.. as well as the heat from the water drawing attention from pain in your stomach.!!

2. Believe it or not smoking marijuana significance helps with the nausea. I keep at least 3 bowls at all times just in case i get an attack.. (and I don't even smoke to get high i smoke to not b sick)

3. Pain killers. Help a lot cause a numbing sensation or at last put u to sleep and knock you out of your misery!!

Please tell me does this help and maybe we should compare notes to what our diet is ect... cause I have never felt a pain like this ever. I am in so much pain sometimes i and delirious

Is they any way I can contact you!!

Hot showers make me more nauses, heat in general really. I have had to cut things that make me sick like cream and alcohol. I don't think mine is gas though. I have had ultrasound and 2 oncospys (the camera down the throat, pretty sure I spelt that wrong).

Same thing here. I've had these symptoms for about 8 years (I'm 23 years old now), had the typical line up of tests and nothing came from it. Tryed a few medications, the only one that helped somewhat was phenergan, but the (crazy) side effects (delerium, numbness in limbs, sleepwalking) caused me a hospital visit. We (my mom and I) needed a quick solution because I was missing quite a bit of school so I got my medical marijuana card. Worked great, the only problem after that was convincing my high schools administration that I legitimately needed it, they openly accused me of lying and stated that they abide by federal laws and that I would be expelled if I continued to come to school medicated. So I was homeschooled for the last 3 years of highschool, it was great. Now i smoke Marijuana when I wake up which usually gets rid of the nausea and healthy stress management seem to be the best ways to manage. Prayer doesn't do any good, the relentless agonizing pain and nausea helped me see that religion is just a large web of lies, don't fool yourself.

I have the same problem. Waking up to nausea is a horrible feeling. Taking a shower helps, but does not relieve the nausea. Keeping my body temperature down usually helps. I am 25 now and have been dealing with morning nausea since I was 18. When I was 22 I had an EKG done, which found nothing and when I was 23 I got a colonoscopy done, which also found nothing. I've kind of settled into knowing that mornings will be hard and some them harder than others. I hate waking up this way but I hate more to be sick for this long with no diagnosis.

Hiatal hernia and or GERD. Eat almond or almond milk. Avoid fatty, spicy, carbonated, caffeinated, or acidic drinks. Get prescription from doc (I'm on nexium). This has helped for many years but I'm starting to have morning sickness again 10 years later. Surgery is last resort.
