bumps on and painful tounge

I have several small bumps on my tounge along with burning if I eat something salty or strong. It doesn't hurt otherwise. The bumps are the same color as my tounge and dont generally hurt.

OK...I have 2 bumps on the end of my tongue which hurt so bad. What they are called, and why do they show up?
