Hello, good people. I have been reading some papers on clostridia. I know that this bacterium can be dangerous, but I would like to find out something more. I would like to know if clostridia can emerge in heated meat. What do you know about this? I will appreciate all your replies considering this.

Hello, there. There are several species of Clostridia that can be really dangerous. Clostridium tetani causes tetanus. Clostridium botulinum causes botulism. Both these diseases are really dangerous. There is also Clostridium perfrigens that causes gas gangrene. I am afraid that spores of Clostridium can survive cooking. You should consult an expert about this question. I hope you’ll find some help. Bye!

Hello. I would agree with the previous post. Clostridium spores are very resistant. They are very hard to kill. They survive boiled temperature. I think that in cans, they use pressure to kill spores. You should really consult an expert. If you find out something new, please let me know. I hope this helps a little. Bye!
