To you that says NO you cannot get pregnant after menopaus...... :) I'm 46 yrs old , no period for 1-2 years. I just went to the doctor for flue symptoms and really wanted an antibiotic so I could get better quicker. The Doctor came into my room to inform me that I actually did have a viral infection, and went on to explain to me about HCG levels in urine. I thought ... Hum.. This has nothing to do with my being sick. My oldest is 26,then 25, next 22, and my 16 yr old just graduated from high school. When he told me my urine was positive , not only once ,but twice... I thought omg !!! R u serious ? R u joking? Butttt here I am ,46 and pregnant all over again. Never say never !!! I had given up on the idea of another baby when I went menopausal . Congratulations to ... I guess .

Everybody is different and they can be a chance that you may stArt ovulating again after being told that youre in full menopause.actually I'm having a menstrual cycle as we speak I'll be calling the doctor tomorrow.

Sorry.... pressed the wrong button. I really liked your post and thoroughly agree with you. I was taught to never say never cause you never know what you might do. I know the mind can be powerful though, because in a similar vein pertaining to doctors misjudging; when I was 39 my doctor told me that I would never be able to have a child again due to fibroid tumors on my uterus, blocking my cervical opening. I wanted one more child though, a little girl, but he told me that I would not be able and stated, no, demanded that I have a hysterectomy. I stuck with my decision to have one more child (I had one girl and 3 boys) and got pregnant on my 41st bday and had my baby girl! I had to have an amniocentesis and guess who I had to see for it...yes, the good doctor himself! Needless to say, I reminded him of his error! So, I believe half of what I hear, and some of what I see. But I do believe that there is life (pun intended) after menopause.

Were you actually in menopause for 3 years? How old were you when you gave birth to your 2 yr old?

I too have had my tubes tied almost 26 years and have been told I am post-menopausal for about 5-7 years and am now 9 weeks pregnant by natural methods. Miracles can happen when you are given the gift from God.

I believe miracles can happen and yes with God all things are possible! I am now 55 yrs old and past menopause over 5 years and have had a tubal ligation over 25 years ago and am pregnant through his gift.

I think you had better rethink your urban legends talk and open up the bible. It is written that Abraham's wife Sarah was 90 years old when she had a child and she was barren. God gave her a child and I believe strongly that all things are possible through him.

I totally believe you. It has happened to me and I am past menopause and am pregnant with my fifth child whom I know is going to be a girl.
