Hello,
My mom, now 65 years old, started experiencing problems with frequent urination and pain during urination. At first she thought it was just UTI and her doctor gave her antibiotics. However, it’s been 3 weeks after she finished her antibiotics and she still says she has problems with urination.
The only other medication she is taking for high cholesterol is Zocor and she’s been on it for years now, but is it possible that Zocor is causing my mom’s issues?

Hello,
I'd recommend you to get your mom to see a doctor who prescribed her Zocor - changes in color of urine, pain, burning or frequent urination on Zocor can be caused by urinary tract infection, but also, more importantly, if it turns out that UTI isn't responsible, these might be the signs that Zocor is damaging your mom's kidneys or liver.
So, to be on the safe side and find out what is exactly going on, you need to get her doctor to have her urine tested and see if she still can take Zocor or not.
