Candida Glabrata/ burning vag and mouth after antibotics

Thank you for your response! The gynazole did not work and I am on my last day today of a 7 day monistat treatment. If this doesn’t work then they will wait until After I deliver and she said it’s a 21 day boric acid suppository treatment. She did mention I can put tea tree oil in the bath but I thought baths were not ok? I also do not know how much I can put in! I am now 35 weeks and running out of time before I deliver at 39 weeks!

I'm still here. I didn't get notifications of the private messages. The combo she used was usnea, black walnut, and black elderberry. She did have a bacterial infection and said that it cured her. On another site I read where black walnut is good to fight yeast but I think it irritates the kidneys and liver which I don't need.
How is your treatment going? What antifungals are you taking? Have you noticed one helping over the other ? I've heard interphase is really good.
I am doing the amph b suppositories.
In not sure if it's successful. I have 3 more days and have noticed that the suppositories pull out a lot the discharge and I have itched and burned a bit more-- nothing unbearable but it's like it's either irritating it or its dying off. I hope it's the later. My urine seems to look funny since I've been using the suopositories. I try to stay prayerful and not worry much but admittedly this is exhausting.

Have you heard of anything naturally that anyone has used to successfully treat glabrata? I can’t tell from your post if the lady you mentioned had glabrata also?
I am using the interphase right now and rotating using grapefruit seed extract, candicidal, and artemisia. I am also rotating probiotics. It’s helping some but it’s definitely not gone.
I hope the ampho b works for you. Are things any better now?

Jess - i’m So sorry to hear about your situation! I think baths are ok when you are pregnant as long as they are warm and not hot. The tea tree oil might be soothing. Are your symptoms really bad?

The woman I am referring to didn't have Glabrata, but she posted on another product concerning an antifungal and was comparing the effectiveness of it Vs Usnea. She had BV and I assume difficult yeast infections at some point. The combination of usnea, black walnut, grape seed extract and black elderberry is what cured her and she said that she always looks to usnea for the best antifungal treatment. A lot of women don't get swabbed. They just try to figure it out or sometimes doctors will just tell them they have a yeast infection upon examination without culturing it. I didn't get into depth with how she knew what she had but she said that nothing worked but that combination. I told her what I had and she told me to try it and also directed me to an herbalist on eBay. I did contact the herbalist but got no response.
I don't thing the amph b worked to cure it. I still have discomfort from time to time and discharge. If you remember in the beginning I had very little discharge but was stinging and burning especially at night or info was active. Now the discomfort is there in the day time and it caused frequent urination which is something that just started. I don't have a UTI according to my last test Simon sure it's this yeast because if I use usnea and collodial silver I am comfortable and can be active but if not I am miserable. I try not to keep using CS because there isn't enough info on long term effects. I do the castor oil packs which help me at night and right now usnea and pau'darco tampons in the day. Not as effective as the usnea and CS combo, butbinam using the milder usnea without alcohol until my regular usnea comes in. I saw a guy on the tube speak about resistant yeast and he says that if you use boric acid 4 days before menstruation and Pau d' arco after it should be effective but to me. Boric acid seemed to make the yeast grow after several days of use. It helped in the beginning and then it didn't... I've tried grapefruit seed extract but not for long. It seemed to make me pee a lot. I have to watch my bladder which is another thing that I have to worry with while I treat the infection. I will try to find the info on glabrata that the ND I communicated with had and post here again. I really hope the rotations work for you. I read a lady's post on Amazon that had Glabrata. She was trying different things and there was a boric acid capsule she reviewed with 5 stars and said after 4 years she had relief but then a month later I saw where she was reviewing something else because of her symptoms so I can only assume the BA didn't work for her either. Very frustrating.

Thanks for the information on the other lady. I wonder if she used usnea, black walnut, grape seed, and black elderberry all at the same time..... can you tell me what usnea you use? Have you ever used the pau d’arco? I would love the glabrata info from your ND if you can find it. I still have clear discharge too and burning. It’s manageable but exhausting and so frustrating that I can’t get rid of this thing! I have used tons of boric acid but it seems to always be a temporary fix:(

Hi Karen,
I told the ND that I needed the graph that showed Glabrata and she responded to my email but not to that. She said that basically I need a local ND because I'm not clear yet and there must be some underlying cause. She said that sadly I won't find a vagina specialist as an ND. She said I need a doctor that is a specialist in women's health and an ND and the specialist has to know a great deal and have contacts that are willing to help them when they get stuck. How in the world am I supposed to find a doctor or ND like that??? I live in a place where it's difficult to even find a good doctor period. My doctor is a vaginal specialist but she was putting me on antibiotics for other issues knowing I had this azole resistant yeast. This is where my thanks comes in for the ID doctor that I saw who told me not to put another antibiotic in my mouth or I would be sorry! Women should have better help than this.
I did find something for you on the ND website though: concerning Glabrata it was recommended to use gentian violet or boric acid as a start.
However that is not the graph that I was referring to that I found months ago. It's very possible that she removed it and that's why I can't locate it and she didn't address it.
Gentian violet - I've used, it didn't cure me, and I think it irritates me but Karen I did speak with a blogger who blogs about women's health and she uses it for recurrent infections and she also has a gyno who swabs her cervix with it if she goes in to her and she says it works. Now, I have a book that tells you how to eat by blood type and so on and gentian violet was a supplement I should avoid. So maybe it's why it irritated me. I've used it for oral thrush on my infant many years ago and it worked.
And I did also get a note that I have to post a few times before I can get messages... That's different.

Got your message thanks! I already wrote you back. I think you should consider the person I mentioned in my email. He might help you. I have also tried gentian violet. I only did it for a few days so it might not have been long enough but it didn’t cure it. Do you know how often you can use this?

Dear Karen, S, Tre, and everyone else,
Just wanted to ask how you all are doing, and if you have found any relief. I have been thinking about you a lot, and hope you are feeling better.
I have been traveling a lot in the past few months, so wasn't able to try all the natural methods I was planning. I live with the symptoms, and when they are a bit worse I just use boric acid for one night. I know it will not solve the problem for the long run, but I don't want to start a long boric acid treatment at the moment. I am trying to think about it less, and just hope it will somehow go away.
I unfortunately don't have any news advices, but I do believe I feel a bit better when I am maintaining a healthy diet, take strong probiotics, drinking kefir, and drinking unfiltered and unpasteurized apple cider vinegar daily, taking garlic pills, doing baking soda douches, etc. However, I was not able lately to maintain this lifestyle for long enough to see if it can kill glabrata.
Karen, how have you been doing? Did you already have your doctor appointment? I will be glad to hear what he said. I am glad that the baking soda douches helped, do you still do them? I was also thinking maybe you could get some kind of numbing cream, maybe it will help with the symptoms and will allow the tissue to heal. I have one that I received from one of my doctors, and I also use it sometimes against the symptoms.

I'm glad to hear you are hanging in there. I am doing o.k. Still fighting the infection unfortunately. I have already had my doctor's appointment and am now following a very specific protocol. Sometimes I think it is really working and sometimes I don't think it is. It's a long-term treatment so it's hard to know still. Can you create an account on this site so we can private message? I think you have to create an account and then post at least 3 messages once your are no longer a guest to be able to private message. Then you can just click on my name and send me a message. I noticed that no one posts to this thread anymore so for the most part I have stopped checking it. I do communicate with Tre regularly via private message. I haven't heard from S, D, or anyone else in a long time. I would love to hear more about how you are doing though and tell you more about what I have been doing. I'm really glad you are able to manage your symptoms!

I'm glad to hear you are following a new treatment and I hope it will work and that you will feel better. Maybe long term treatments are better for us who couldn't get rid of it with the usual treatments. I will love to talk with you in private and to hear more about it. Thanks! I really hope it works too. I am praying and doing everything I can to get rid of this thing. I would love to chat with you more.
