Chances of pregnancy after myomectomy surgery?

I know this is 4 years later but THANK YOU for your valuable information! I am taking herbs too to help shrink my fibroids and strengthen the uterus. I wish more people would see the connection between what we eat and drink and the healing and nurturing of our wombs! I just say my obgyn today and he suggested a robotic assisted myo to remove some of the multitude of fibroids I have before TTC. These stories like yours are encouraging!

hey all  you out there.had my myomectomy in april 2011 now am 4 weeks pregantam so scared will the baby be normal.what shd i do ? and what shdnt i do and this point am 35

I had my myomectomy done about 2 years ago. I was able to conceive about 3 years after the surgery. That pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I'm currently expecting again. You should have no problem conceiving after the surgery. I do plan to have another one after the birth of my child the pain is unbearable.

Hi I'm new to this thread as well but I'm experience pain and spotting at 6 weeks pregnant , and I wanted to know If perhaps it's a complication of the myomectomy and has anyone had this and gone on to deliver healthy babies ?

I had a myomectomy in Jan/12 and I haven't been able to concieve yet.  I have started to see an osteopath in the hopes of increasing circulation and blood flow in my pelvic area.  I have been experiencing a lot of cramping since these prociedures began and I hope that means things are coming back to life so to speak.  I am grateful for the surgery as I likely would have never conveived without it; however I am now 39 and fearful that I have missed the boat.  Have any of you had similar experiences?  I have a feeling that the egg and sperm are meeting but that there is some problem with implantation due to scar tissue and lesions etc.  I have had an IUI procedure 4 times now and I am hesitant to go the IVF route until I know that my uterus will implant!  Thank you for reading.

hi i am 40 years old i have fibroids the size of a 17 to 18 week pregnancy, i have had embolization, before embolization they were the size of a 12 week baby. i did not think that they would grow but they have i was naive. i have been married just over 3 years. i cannot get pregnant, i had something done that fills your tubes with fluid. i was told my right tube was no where to be seen, this is where the fibrods is. on the right hand side. and my left tube only filled with the blue fluid half way i believe. my option is to have mymectomy, i am feeling nervous but it feels like the only option to me any advice.

I will be 40 this year and I just had my second abdominal myomectomy. I am praying to be blessed with my first child. They removed 10 fibroids ranging in sizes (very small-7cm).  I truly pray to be a Mom very soon. Has anyone else had 2 myomectomies and still had children?

1am 29 and was diagnsed of 4fibroids growth,i just got married some months ago,i tried c0ncieving last month but had a miscarriage after a month. before then i was scheduled for a myo.but bcos of fere saying about ar of negative things people are saying of myo,am now confused, should i go on with the myo or try concieving again

Hi everyone! I am so glad I found this forum! I am 34 and am scheduled to have an open ab myomectomy on 10/10/13. I have a 15cm intramural fibroid on the front of my uterus. It has made my life awful. Super heavy periods. I needed a blood transfusion in Feb. Like many of you I have been afraid I won't be able to have a child. DAILY PRAYER has helped so much and reading the bible. It is God's will for us to be "fruitful and multiply". I am also still single; no boyfriend. So reading about women on here who are in their 40s and able to conceive after a myo is wonderful news to my ears! I will be praying for all of us! I usually don't respond to these post but I have a question for you did you ever get pregnant again. I lost my twin boys this past August because of my fibriods, I have my surgery scheduled for next January, maybe it's because I am still grieving, but I feel hopeless sometimes

how are you..I admire your positive attitude. I am schedule for a myomectomy in a couple of weeks..I'm now confuse because I seeked a second opinion and was told there is no need for the operation that I should go ahead and try to get pregnant..I had a late pregnancy loss only a few months ago my obgyn said the fibroids played a part and the second opinion obgyn said they were not a factor ..hope to hear from you
