I have begun to train on a regular basis. I have some goals and dreams I‘d like to fulfill. However, I am not particularly fond of strict swimming techniques so I sometimes bend the rules and swim the way I like it. What do you think about cheating on swimming practice?

Well, if your goal is to improve your skills you can cheat on some days just to make it easy on yourself and break the monotony. On the other hand if you have some serious goals then you should not cheat. Remember, the only person you are cheating is yourself. Every workout you don’t do properly you will have to do some other time. You are just postponing your goals. So, I would suggest you have a day off or “fun day” meaning the day you are free to do whatever you want to do in the water. So it leaves you with plain, hard workouts on your “serious” days.
