Even though I've lost 13 lbs, my cholesterol has shot up. I haven't changed my meat consumption, but the only thing to which I can attribute the increase is the switch from no fat milk products to whole milk yogurt, ricotta, and cream cheese. I can do without it if need, but I just started using coconut oil as my main fat. I want to know if anyone with high cholesterol has had good results from using coconut oil.

For many, cholesterol can rise for the firs 5-6 months on low carb, so following the initial 6 months it is common to see your cholesterol drop. Don’t despair because Coconut oil helps to raise the good cholesterol. It is a good idea to have it as a part of your diet and I don't think that you really need to change anything in your diet. What are your cholesterol numbers?
