Recent to The Pancreatitis family. My daily dose of food. Always do most of the work for your pancreas and "chew, chew, chew at least 30-40 times your food!"

Morning - Green Tea with a tsp. of local honey, Whole Grain freshly baked bread with A tsp. of Almond Butter (chew, chew, chew!) or a handful of organic cornflakes (Wholefoods store) with low fat 0% or 1% milk or plain almond milk.

Snack - Granny Smith apple (chew, chew, chew!) or Red Seedless grapes (chew, chew, chew!)

Lunch - Spinach and Red-leaf or any other salad other than Iceberg, with Skinless chicken breast, red cabbage, blueberries, Zima orange tomatoes, onion (a lot..2. Onions. Onions have flavonoids, which are terrific cancer-fighting compounds. They also contain sulfur compounds which are good for keeping the pancreas in good working order.), grated, goat or sheep milk cheese, broccoli (Broccoli is rich in the flavonoids apigenin and luteolin, which inhibit human pancreaticcancer cell formation. Other cruciferous veggies such as cauliflower, kale, cabbage and brussel sprouts provide easily absorbable nutrients needed to support the pancreas), top with tsp. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Snack - 3 tblsp. Plain low fat sugar free yogurt. 4-5 large crushed blackberries and a half handful of crushed blueberries and leave some blueberries whole..mix and eat.

Dinner - Fish marinated with Tumeric ( consumption of turmeric can be beneficial in decreasing the inflammation in pancreas), garlic, very little olive oil, fresh basil and parsley, fresh cracked pepper, ground ginger or ginger paste. Sauté or bake. Serve with asparagus, steamed broccoli, Brussels sprouts or fresh steamed spinach and carrots.

Dinner can consist of chicken (no dark meat..too much fat) rotisserie or baked, fish & pork loin with sweet potatoes, green vegetables steamed, cauliflower mash with low fat sour cream, lots of broccoli and spinach, but keep all in moderation.
