I'm 16, and I've never been to the gynocologist before, so I don't know if this is normal. Ever since I can remember, when I pull back my hood, my clitoris hurts, and the tissue on the innermost part seems red and irritated. If I push on it when the hood isn't pulled back, it doesn't hurt as long as I don't put too much pressure on it. Is this normal?

Hi ldaley99. When you say your clitoris hurts when you pull back the hood how do you mean by hurt? Is it a throbbing pain sharp stabbing pain or just soreness pain you get? If you have any more unusual symptoms that go with it can you describe them to :-)

It's mostly just a soreness. Also, sometimes, it does feel a bit swollen and even more sore than usual.

It could be an external yeast infection that's causing it, being that area is covered by the clitoral hood hut stays warm and damp ideal for yeast to grow, do you notice any white areas on the skin around there or have you been getting any different kind of discharge than you normally do?

No and no, nothing abnormal has been happening. It's been just like this for as long as I can remember. Could it just be the clitoris not being cleaned properly under the hood?
