Constant urge to pee disrupting sleep

please help me. i'm 18, female and i've had regular unprotected sex for almost a year now. my problem started out with a painful burning sensation when i pee. then i had rashes around my vagina. but that was a long time ago. now the only trouble i have is the urge to pee but hardly anything or sometimes nothing comes out. i cant sleep and its getting irritating. help me please?

It may be a Urinary Tract Infection, treatable with antibiotics. Caused usually by bacteria getting into urethra via sex or wiping some waste material into that area during bathroom use. Don't know if any STDs have a similar symptom. See a doctor.

Hello azian,

Well since the first sentence you have wrote was that you have been having unprotected sex with your boyfriend you are probably aware that that is the main cause of your trouble and that you will probably need treatment.

Even if no STD is in question you need to consult your doctor because UTI (and it is most likely that you are suffering from that) can’t be treated with some over the counter medication which is available in the nearby pharmacy. You need antibiotics prescribed by the doctor (usually Bactrim) and when you get them you need to drink entire course of it and avoid sex. Not because you can infect your boyfriend but because you can make your condition even worse. And condom is the best way of protecting yourself.
