I had a bone spur removed arthroscopically from my right shoulder in 1998 and developed daily Migraine headaches. Was sent back to the surgeon because of the constant pain in the shoulder and neck. He jerked my arm all around and said I had full range of motion and was fine. Since then I have been to multiple doctors and had MRI's, CAT scans, EMG's, trigger point injections etc, Lots of pain pills and muscle relaxers. None have been able to tell me why I have the pain or to stop it. It is now 2016 and nothing has changed except I now get botox injections for the Migraines (Im now down to two migraines a week) and my Neurologist puts some into the shoulder which helps some. But, I am still in various degrees of daily pain. Needless to say I do have a high pain tolerance or I wouldnt of lasted this many years.. If anyone finds out why we all have similar constant pain after bone spur removal please tell ..I would love to be pain free.

I have had bone spurs removed from my right shoulder in January of 2004, February of 2015 and now I just had a scope on my left shoulder which also removed bone spurs and extreme arthritis. I am not sure what keeps causing my bone spurs but I am concerned because a guy I know had several operations for the same reason and ended up needing shoulder replacement surgery.

I had a rotator cuff tear repair and acromial spur removal surgery on my right shoulder at the beginning of 2016. I then had several tears and acromial spur removal surgery on my left shoulder at the end of 2016. I've since had 2 hydrodilatation procedures done on my left shoulder because it keeps freezing. I have to go for an MRI tomorrow because it's suspected that the last hydrodilatation (4 weeks ago) has caused another tear. Also my right shoulder is now crazy sore as well and x-rays have shown that the spur has grown back. I'm not even 50 yet and I fear these shoulders have well and truly done me in. I'm kind of wishing I never had the surgeries in the first place.

Have them do an MRI on your neck. I am 4 months out of rotator cuff surgery to remove a cluster of bone spurs. I also had a cluster of spurs between collar bone and shoulder and spurs across the top of my shoulder. If you have bone spurs pinching into your spinal cord it can also cause extreme shoulder and arm pain. My shoulder and neck surgery we're done by 2 different surgeons over a year apart. I have permanent spinal cord damage and have been told by my doctors that I need Neurontin and Muscle Relaxers from now on. I hope someone can find out what's wrong with your arm before it gets so bad it can't be fixed. You should push your doctor to do more tests before you have permanent damage like I do. God Bless you.
