Hello, I am 45 years old and I am having serious respiratory difficulties. Until a month ago I smoked about ten cigarettes a day for the past ten years so I am not sure if that is the cause of my COPD. I heard that it takes more time and more used nicotine for that condition to occur. Anyway, I am participating in pulmonary rehabilitation and I admit that COPD can be a lot easier to handle in that case.

Well, there are several different forms of this treatment, all depending on the progress and the type of the condition treated. It actually combines several therapies and their role is to subdue the symptoms. Unfortunately, it does not eliminate the illness, but it helps the patient maintain the more or less, normal quality of life.
