I have had a dry cough for 3 1/2 weeks. The same day my cough began my left eye became bright red and very painful. Since I had been in 50 mile hour winds, i assumed I got some debris in it. I associated the cough with very dusty conditions. i had some anitbiotics for my from a previous prescription - it cleared up my eye within a few days.

Now my neck is swollen and painful, mostly the left side. Right side is slightly tender. It is uncomfortable to swallow.
I have not been sick, no cold and no fever.

I am very tired I think due to coughing at night

Hi Martin,

You might still have some infection in your body. How long has passed since the cold and the eye infection? What kind of antibiotics where you taking? Your coughing indicates that your body is still not healthy and that you have some problem. That is why your neck is swollen. The lymph nodes tend to get swollen when your body is fighting an infection. Is there a possibility that you caught some virus or bacteria? You could try to cure this with more antibiotics, but you can’t wait too long to see the result. If this condition is present for long period of time you will need to see a specialist to determine what is really causing the swelling.
