I had an ultrasound 8 years ago which detected the presence of gallstones. Today I had pain under my right rib and felt nauseas. I went to the bathroom and started throwing up. Initially clear usual consistency of food vomit, nothing odd. Then I felt and saw what could only be the strangest thing. My vomit suddenly turned yellow and then brown but it started with what felt like a large amount at once that came out and made a sound hitting the water like that of an almost solid object. This was accompanied by immediate pain relief and further bouts of normal type vomiting bile. Is it possible that I could have brought up a gallstone, releasing a blockage of bile behind it suddenly? I can't find anything like this anywhere and could only describe it as similar to when your plumbing is blocked and then both the blockage and water pass through freeing up the water flow.
