Hi, my mother is 54 years old and she is complaining on pressure and pain which she feels in her abdomen under the rib cage. She also said that she sometimes feels such pain in her backs. I would like to know if this may be caused by gallbladder. Thank you.

Hi, according to symptoms which you have described it is possible that your mother has problem with her gallbladder. However it would be very useful that she made ultrasound because it would be very clear then what is the cause of such pain. Anyway it would be the best to visit her doctor.
