I hate, I hate, I hate CPAP! It is the most uncomfortable machine ever!!! I sleep even worse than before. What can do?

The easiest would be to adjust your headgear and mask. Take time, spend a day or two adjusting it, you really have to take time for adjustment. I had the same problem, then my wife got sick of me … and she dragged me to the it and I “had to” to take time : ) she is some character : )
Be careful not to adjust the straps more tightly, because that doesn’t help. Air leakage problems are usually due to positioning, not pressure (this problem origins from problem above!). another solution could be usage of nasal pillows.
If you find the incoming air to be too dry, and your sinuses are drying out, many manufacturers offer a humidifier as an option.
If you find the machine noisy, push it away little bit, but watch it, machine has to have plenty space (be careful not to start fire!)

I have use th e machine for 4 days now and I am so short of breath during the day I can't stand it. Also my back hurts when I wake up around my lungs. I don't know how long I am going to be able to do this.
I am concern because my oxygen level dropped to 77 during the study and they said I had to use the machine.

I just now discovered your post, but I have tried for the past 7 months of trying to get used to my CPAP. I get so disgusted that I really want to just take a hammer to it and then throw the remaining pieces out the window so I know it would be totally gone. I haven't done that (at least yet). I've just packed it up and I'm going to return it. There has to be an a decent alternative for those of us who don't adjust. I just haven't found it.
