I spat for the whole pregnancy and two weeks past my delivery, it was hell very unpleasant and made me feel sick. One day some one told me to hold a piece or ginger in my mouth. Good news it helped so I kept a piece in my mouth daily even while I slept. This worked up until I was about 19 weeks when I went to the united states to have my baby. I guess the ginger there were of different strength lol because it stopped working after a while and only thing I could do was drink water. I went through at least 2 cases per week. sipping it on the water as needed and this is what I did for the remainder. Now im pregnant again and totally upset to welcome back the spiiting.

hi everyone my name is Cassandra and I'm pregnant this is my third pregnancy my spiting first started when I was pregnant with my second child the brat now three years of age, anyway I started spiting so hard 3wks into that pregnancy spit n spit even during my sleep night or day I would feel saliva forming full flooding my mouth it becomes so sickening to that It made my own stomach turn n sick from me I was so ashame to go out or even talk to anyone this made me became drawn from people I know n don't know, I was sad I hated me I wanna get rid of the pregnancy honestly if it wasnt that late for me to had and abortion I was have I mean I tryed everything that I can could think of sweets gum crackers but as soon as the munching was done fr my mouth to his disgusting saliva would sour up again, still never gave up trying to find something that would help to even ease the spiting a bit until one night I surf n there I saw something about coffee wow instantly I believe in this I'm gonna try it si I pick some ripe coffee squeeze the seeds fr the skin n let the seeds dried for four days, I put one seeds under my tongue I kept that there excluding when I'm eating I became so comfortable with this seems in my mouth for less than 2 weeks that I didnt even realises that i was spiting no more dried coffee help me in that pregnancy n now with this pregnancy I spit but only when my tongue feels yucky but I'm considering using some died coffee seeds again course spiting makes me sick yuck I hope dried coffee with help y'all like it did me best of luck op n stoping that spiting fah good.

i am almost 29 weeks and still spitting from the first trimester as soon as the sickness stopped! i can't go anywhere without a bottle to spit in! totally sick of it. will probably now last till the end.. however if there is ANY sort of solution (except dried coffee, as have been put off by the smell of coffee from the beginning), i will try it.
has anyone tried the salt, sugar and lime with water?
or has anyone found something which actually works? i know i just have 11 weeks approx left, but would love to get rid of it... today before tomorrow!!

Hi I am 14 weeks in I just keep spitting tried everything from gum to mouthwash just everything ANYTHING ELSE ??? ITS JUST NASTY I HAVE TO WAKE OUT MY SLEEP IN SPIT IF I DONT MY WHOLE PILLOW WILL BE WET UP

i have to say 10weeks with 3rd baby on the way and theres a first time for everything this constant need of spitting is just too much i agree its really taking a tole in my life as well... My doc recomended benadril it makes your mouth dry i havent tested it out but will tomorrow for sure! Good luck

Hi. Did the benadril work? I'm 17weeks, 3rd baby and it feels like it's getting worse each day. My morning sickness seems to be somewhat settling however due to the constant excess saliva it actually bring on the nausea/vomitting. I've tried and tested almost everything out there. Even home remedies recommended on this site. I just need it to stop!
