Dark orange mucus coming out of the nose

Just googled orange phlegm and headache and found this thread. Really confused by my headache since I never get headaches, but this one has been persistent for a few days now. I thought perhaps I was dehydrated and also have been having some orange phlegm in the morning. I'm about 3/4th the way through my menstrual cycle as well. My boyfriend is experiencing the same thing, so I feel it must be some sort of slight infection. I feel great otherwise.

I had the same issues. 12 years fighting this that no one could diagnose. Had 8 scans both CT and MRI. Had another recently and Dr. said you are aware you have arthritis in your jaws. BINGO, that's what it was.

I had my orange fluid begin running when a cold snap came. I was exposed to the elements during this time. I have a rugged immune system and usually fight off most sickness quickly, and without medication if possible. I do not have allergies. So this orange fluid that gushed out was alarming. I have never had a sinus infection before in my 37 years of life. I have had my nose broken twice. But this has been years with no effect to my sinuses once healed. The orange fluid ran from my left nostril mostly. This also completely burned my inner nostril badly. So i read this thread and see that staph was mentioned. Seems like a likely candidate if you ask me. Would I be able to fight this off with my own immune system? I have noticed my ability to heal is slowed way down by this sickness as well. What is your Take on this?

Amen!!! Why I looked this up - nvr saw THIS color before: dark orange mucus......really bad sinus infection; Been on antibiotics since Patient First last Sunday. Have all symptoms mentioned - on right side of my face!!!

I've been since for one month!!! It all began. Nov 21st - it's now Dec 21, and Uvgave the end result! So now I hope, after this orange clear fluid, it truly IS the end!

I had this at the end of a sinus infection. After using my neti pot I blew out thick, highlighter orange mucus for a few nose blows. Then something suddenly felt unblocked and a bunch of watery orange fluid came out. After that I felt immensely better and got well very quickly.

Thank you and I agree! As far as I know I'm not sick. I was just walking thru my house in am and my nose started leaking this light orange fluid. Tbh, I am dehydrated and also "close" but I've never had that before. I've been sorta shaking for two days and not sleeping long at all. Thank you for sharing!

It's great, just filled the clothes drier, stood up right and "splash", droplets of orange water out of my nose. I'm currently averaging 4-6 hours sleep no more a night and have also been to the coast a few days ago. My wife says it must have been the sand that has blown up my nose. I remember having this when I was young, I got a cushion and did a head stand then loads came pouring out when I stood up. Whilst upside down I got that sensation like when loads of water goes up your nose and fizzes. I'm enjoying my allergy anyway it's great fun. Oh and we have had a load of pollen blowing around in the warm weather recently along with warnings of some kind of thunder hayfever/ Ashma... I don't suffer with neither. As far as I'm concerned it's good fun no worries.

I had exactly this happen a few years ago. I had a really bad sinus infection and was using a neti pot. First there was thick, flourescent orange mucus. After that there was a pop from pressure in my head being released, a draining sensation and really watery, highlighter orange discharge. I immediately felt tons better. A couple hour later I had the same thing happen on the other side and I was feeling completely back to myself a few hours later.

Since nothing is helping and doctors can't figure it out I would check for black mold in my immediate environment.
