I have finally got to looking at this patch, 1 inch in diameter. It has a slightly darker tone than my skin and is on my inner thigh, top of my leg, where my left testicle would touch. It is not itchy. Recently I have been spending most of my time sitting down. Is it something to worry about?

It doesn't sound like you have the same patch on your testicle. Could this be an area that is just irritated for some reason? The fact that it's not itchy is good, but strange. If it was some kind of skin rash, it would most likely itch. Could it be a reaction to a plant perhaps? It would probably spread if that were true. Could you have been bitten by something? Have you searched for this type of patch that might be in other places on your body? You would want to know the cause of this and only a doctor/dermatologist could answer that question. Is this a new patch or has it been there awhile? Is it raised or is it normal? What do the boarders of the patch look like? Personally, I found that I had a large 2" diameter patch on my left forearm after I went tanning one day, and had it checked out by the dermatologist. It turns out that it's a birthmark that I'd never had noticed so it turned out not to be a big deal. Is that sort of what it looks like? It might be one. In any case, it might be a good idea to have a dermatologist check it out.
