I just noticed this same indentation on mu left by my hairline as well. I also wear my glasses on top of my head. I'm hoping its just that simple, its unsettling. I am 32 yrs old and female. My diet is high in caffeine and junk food, but Im not overweight (136lbs).

I have just found two of them at the front of my scull, about an inch wide by an inch long. Going to see my doctor on Monday, don't know if it will do me any good as there doesn't seem to be a distinctive reason for it happening? Fingers crossed I might get an answer?

Hi All,

I am pleased to advise that I also wear my glasses while driving. I also have accidentally hit my head quite hard whilst getting in or out of may car.

I now live with total confidence that I don't have any medical threats.

I hope that this will help you too.

I have a dent on the right side of my head that is slowly enlarging. Just found a second one on the crown of my head. Area is sore to touch as is the surrounding tissue.
Try looking up Gorham-Stout Disease aka Vanishing Bone Disease. Apparently very rare. Taking this info back to my PCP next week. I have multiple disabling issues that no one can seem to Dx. At least an autoimmune disease (or 2) ....hope this helps someone.

I have the same thing and attributed it to the position of my reading glasses which I wear on the top of my head as well.

I have exactly the same and just today before googling I put my sunglasses back on my head (I have them there most days) and boom! The exact same place. Could it really be that? I'm gonna stop putting them on my head and see if dents disappear. So weird but hope it is just that!

Hi,

Around 6 months ago, I noticed a slight indent on the back of my skull (crown) and a few months went by and I touched it again which felt much deeper. I showed family who were concerned and told me to keep an eye on it. As months went on, it began to hurt and feel super sensitive and I get random really RANDOM pains going across it, which settle down after 10 mins or so.
I went to the doctors and then had a Skull CT Scan.. came back normal and shows a clear concavity at the back of skull but not harmful and to forget about it.
I told the doctor who gave me the good news, that this is great but if it continues to hurt what shall I do.. she explained I may have made the skin/hair follicles sensitive by touching it so much and to give it a few months.
Few months have now gone by and to this day, I still get random pains.. I am having them right now and it has lasted for a good 30 minutes.

I am not too worried because I have had the scan and know it cant be anything really serious.. however I would like some advise if there is any to give.

thanks a lot xx
