I’m a 56 year old woman and after I had my leg fractured for the second time in a little bit over a year, my doctor started suspecting I might be suffering from osteoporosis and sent me to do a DEXA scan which showed both my hips are affected, as well as my femur bone. I’ve also done a calcium and vitamin D blood levels and both came pretty low.

I’m still waiting to get an appointment with a rheumatologist, and see if there is any way to reverse or at least stop the damage osteoporosis has done to me, but in the meantime, would there be any benefit if I started taking calcium or vitamin D supplements? Which ones would you recommend?
