I’m female, age 58 and after I broken my leg, my physician ordered me to have DEXA scan which showed I have bone thinning or osteoporosis in my femur and left hip. So far I’ve been only put on calcium and vitamin D supplements, since I currently can’t afford the treatment with biologics such as Reclast.

What bothers me now is that in the last month or two I’ve been experiencing very strong pain near my elbow, almost outside my elbow bone and I’m of course worried that osteoporosis is affecting my left hand, as well. As far as my hip is concerned, I never felt any pain, so that makes me wonder if elbow pain is caused by osteoporosis, or something else?
