My pharmacist told me that they stopped carrying the endocet bc they cost more and the insurance co wont pay full price on them. He also said that they r the same meda but the endocet works better bc its the next step under oxycotin. I have to pay 70$ for the script and he will special order those just for me. Otherwise i had to get a new script from the doc. And the doc said if the reg ixy dont help yhen why take them so he gives me these. They r some what stronger then reg. Even though the strength is the same. Don't make sense i know but i can tell a difference in the two myself The endo works better.

my doctor explained to me that addiction is what happens when you take more of a drug than what you're prescribed ... the fact that we have the feeling that we "need" the drug is what he advised me dependency ... because you're dependent does not mean you're addicted ... this is how a member of the medical profession explained to me the difference between the two ... those who want to berate chronic pain suffers should take this into account before they open their mouths and show how poorly educated they are

yeah I would like to explain the difference between the real Macoy and generic -yes the generic companies use the same ingredients but what they don't do is follow the exact same steps in making the medication therefor the end product is never as good

could 'nt agree more the addicts might end up ruining it for us real sufferers discontinued medication might be a thing of the future but totally unfair for the real problem which are the doctors that hand it out like candy cause they get kick backs from the pharm companies-plain and simple it's legalized drug trafficking

Percocet is the original Brand Name combination of Oxycodone and Acetaminophen made by Bristol Myers Squibb. It is the most expensive option. After the patent ran out, generic manufacturers were allowed to make the same thing. So Bristol Myers Squibb made their own generic, Endocet so that they could continue to keep selling this medication without losing all of their sales to competitor generic companies. I suspect it is 100% identical (same fillers, etc) except that it has a different imprint on the tablet. There is also two other generic versions on the market in Canada (with different fillers, but the same amount of oxycodone and acetaminophen). As of today however, (October, 2017) Bristol Myers Squibb has discontinued making both the Brand name and generic version of this medication. (Percocet and Endocet are no longer available in Canada, but the other two generic versions still are)

I'm sorry Rowdie. I'm a 41 yr old man who's had 4 shoulder surgeries (the last being shoulder replacement). I've taken ltb's for 12 yrs (4/day) and after every surgery perc's (as much as 2 every 4 hrs) til initial pain subsides then back to normal. Ive even had to take morphine for extended period of times on few occasions as well. If what u just said is right then ur dr is off his rocker and so are u prob at this point. I have a relatively high tolerance and what ur sayn is just nuts. No dr I've ever heard of would prescribe that many pills to one person to take every single day. If ur in that much pain u should have long ago moved onto some other form of relief. All that being said, u live in fantasy land if u think u can justify all that w pain.

I am a cancer patient, and taking Oxycodone / APAP 7.5mg-500 mg tabs. Went to a new pharmacy, and they gave me Endocet. Is this just another brand for this medication? Or is this a generic name? Thanks!

I took Percocets in the past, and they seemed to work very well for my pain. Now the doctor prescribed Endocets, and I find they make me feel depressed. Is this possible? Is this a common side effect?
