My wife has been in a car accident a month ago and she is fine now, even though she had several broken bones. Doctors also told there were some unstable fractures that might have complicated later, but they did not. Can you tell me what is the difference between unstable and firm fractures?

Unstable fracture is actually a partial, or incomplete fracture. This means that the bone is broken, but not fully, so it is in one piece. Of course, if not treated immediately or properly, these fractures usually end up being firm fractures, where the bone is broken into two pieces. Well, whatever the case, the good thing is that your wife has overcome all those injuries and that she is all right now.
