I was taking suboxone for 7 months and my doctor stopped me cold turkey because of insurance complications. I have had, and still have, diahrrea. Can you offer any help on this and advice as to how long this will last? Thank you very much.

xsubuser - Get some Imodium...lots of it. Imodium (Loperamide) has the same basic chemical makeup as Demerol (Meperidine), but does not cross the blood-brain barrier. It will seize up your digestive tract and give you a respite. Keep in mind that, first of all, I am NO doctor, but you will need to basically take about twice as much as the indications say...otherwise it will be in vain. The irony in all of this is that the only cure is the same thing that put you in this position...I know, I was there too...but it gets better. Good Luck.
