dilated pupils

I am 41 and have a right pupil that is completely dialated and a left that is smaller even in dark light. I have had CT’s and an MRI done. Told my brain is normal, so then was referee to a retina specialist and he sad my eyes are perfect it’s have to be neurotic in nature. Now I am being referred to a neuro-opthomalogist. Any idea what this is??? I am scared to death. I am losing vision in my right eye and I am not sure what this could be, any suggestions on what maybe going on or what type of disorder this could be. I am curious to know if you ever got any information on this. I have a blond haired, blue eyed grand daughter who is 7. He pupils are always dilated. I have tried to get information but not luck. Though maybe you had found an answer. thanks

I have blue eyes and dilated pupils. I agree with everything he said. Polarized sunglasses do help and I squint a lot without them. My eye doctor told me this was a condition affecting light colored eyes & affects about 20% of population.
