Sounds like gallbladder or clogged bile duct or pancreatitis. I had pancreatitis for 10 years and I couldn't wear a bra when it flared up. I couldn't lay on my left side and sitting was uncomfortable.

This all sounds to me like Nephroptosis (a wandering kidney). It is a rare condition and most doctors have no idea about it and will laugh at you if you suggest it. It is mostly caused by connective tissue problems such as with EDS. When you lie down flat the kidney returns to its normal place so it won't show up as being out of place on scans or X-rays. You need to have them done both lying down and standing upright to see if the kidney drops.

I'm 53 and have had the same left-side under rib cage, feeling like there's a balloon in there feeling for probably 30 years. It comes and goes. It's therapeutic to hear so many others' are dealing with same issue and frustrations with not finding answers, so thanks everyone for sharing. But....frustrating! I've had all the tests - GIs, colonoscopies, food allergies, etc. -- and the good news, I guess, is that they all come back negative. I've pretty much stopped turning to conventional medical resources for help. At this point, I believe it's emotional/stress-related. Now on my continuing journey of figuring out how to make it better. Good luck to all of us.

I suffered from the pain in left rib cage for a month and then seen a post from somebody saying a organ massage would help and it did apparently your organs including your intestines can move up underneath your rib cage getting caught causing pressure and serious pain so I did this and it is gone now

Look up hiatal hernia on YouTube. You can relieve the pain doing a simple press with the butt of your palm daily....RIGHT AT HOME!!!

I’ve been having the same problems as well, I have extreme anxiety though, sometimes the bubbly feeling is only on the left side, and sometimes it’s my stomach too. But it feels 90% better when I take my mind off of it, maybe it’s where our anxiety pain lies?

After having this pain for years I can now longer lower my left arm completely to my side while standing. the swelling along my left side is now very noticeable when compared to the right. I have been to see the doctors dozens of times. The docs have given up and referred me to "pain management" or "shut up and take some painkillers"
