I don't know if this will help anyone, but I had this for over a year. I saw so many doctors that I can't even count all the doctor visits and tests were done. Long story short, I had a Gastroenterologist and a Rheumatologist tell me that they were going to start more invasive testing unless I wanted to get serious and try cutting out Gluten. Literally within a couple of days of cutting out every single trace of gluten, I started to feel relief. I know a lot of people think the gluten intolerance / gluten allergy is a hoax or over diagnosed, but it worked for me. Maybe it is just a coincidence, but I believe it enough that I have been gluten-free for almost 2 years. I have given up some of my absolute favorite foods, and it was very, very hard, but the relief I feel is enough for me to continue to say no to donuts, rolls at restaurants, etc. It is the least invasive and most heal conscious thing you can try. :-)

I have the same feeling of a small balloon inflated, right under my ribs. Sometimes I can feel it starting with a mild tingling, pins and needles type thing. If I stay in the same position for too long it gets worse and worse until it's unbearable. I've had cat scans and they found a hernia but when I had it repaired the pain was still there. It consumes me every day. If I sit in the car or sit and watch tv: its worse. Standing for awhile helps unless it's already past the point of no return. I take baclofen for muscle spasms and a narcotic pain reliever but this is just always there. My life has become a daily battle for the past 9 months.

I also have the same problem for last 3 months, Only disconfort on the left side of Stomach below rib case, it feels like something there inside pushing it out when I am bending only that time.
I had imaging and xray but nothing found. Doctors are giving me medicine for digestion and gas, but I do not have all those problems.
I don't know how it was started. If anyone has the answer please let me know.

I have the exact same thing and my doctor told me it was just a pulled muscle that should go back to normal within a few weeks. Well its been about 9 months now and I still have this discomfort. It feels like there is something under my rib cage on the left side and its uncomfortable to lay on my right side as it feels like its pushing down onto my stomach. It is incredibly painful if I push on that area as well. Not sure what to do about this as my doctor thinks I'm crazy. :(
Has anyone found answers?

I have had these symptoms for years and have had many tests with zero results.  I eat a lot of celery and I have a suspicion that the undigested fibers may be the culprit and have created a mass that is not detected through x-ray or ultra-sound.  This may be the problem some of us have .....Bezoar or mass of various types....could be hair, undigested vegetable fibers, undigested popcorn,..the list goes on. I plan on seeing my MD and seeing if this is my "issue".

Phytobezoar

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

" A phytobezoar is a type of bezoar, or trapped mass in the gastrointestinal system, that consists of components of indigestible plant material, such as fibres, skins and seeds. While phytobezoars may be discovered incidentally on barium x-ray or endoscopic testing of the stomach, individuals with phytobezoars may develop symptoms: nausea, vomiting, gastric outlet obstruction, perforation, abdominal pain, and bleeding have been reported.[1] Conditions that lead to decreased motility in the stomach (gastroparesis)"

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

bezoar /ˈbiːzɔər/ is a mass found trapped in the gastrointestinal system (Gastrolith, usually in the stomach),[2] though it can occur in other locations.[3][4] There are several varieties of bezoar, some of which have inorganic constituents and others organic.

Hi. I went to my GP today with the same complaint. Was told I have a hernea and the gurgling/bubbling sensation is the food being passed into the bowel. Not nice but not dangerous. Just got to keep an eye on it and if it becomes worse to go back. Hope this helps.

Look in to GERD, gastro intestinal oesophagal disorder, doesn't always cause heartburn or reflux, can cause inflammation. Caused by a small hitial hernia, many prople have them and it doesnt cause symptoms, but it foes in some people.

Same symptoms, checked for chrons via colonoscopy and amall barium scan with buscopan, came back ok. Still not had an endoscopy, not sure if you can habe chrons in upper gi and it not show further down? Symptoms are the same decending colon pain under the left rib, burning but cool feeling gurgling, bruised feeling. Toilet symptoms, if in the morning like keytones, ammonia odour very watery, if I don't happen to go the. It backs up and I can taste it, wondering if this is the reason for all the chest infections I get. Had a testicular examination recently and this abdomen pain has been a lot worse since.
