The best way to improve your speed is technique training. Various drills and strideouts will help. The most important thing is to be relaxed during acceleration. Your jaw and neck, your fists they all have to be relaxed. Also you should not lift your shoulders. Try to warm up for 20 minutes. Then take a 10 runs of 100 meters. Accelerate first 70 meters and float last 30. Concentrate on your running.
