I am having the same problem. Huge stomach overnight, large weight gain. Also pains inside. Am always tired. Have had scans and colonoscopy and lots of blood tests. All normal. I've lost my appetite, don't eat half what I used to yet keep gaining weight. Also stopped being able to urinate and now take diuretics, which help, but I never get a good flow. My stomach does not appear to be holding water. I am 61, post menopausal and have had no recent change to meds, other than diuretics which I started long after the stomach. HELP!

Have you had a hysterectomy? If not I would like you to ask for a transvaginal ultrasound! I am concerned about the bloated stomach and weight! When it is your health NEVER take "NO!" For an answer! They might be looking for something else and not concentrate on the real problem!

Well, Noisette, there might be many things that are causing your distended stomach. Can you tell me if you are allergic to any kind of fruit or vegetables, or something similar? Are you taking care of your diet? My aunt has also had problems with her stomach and blood samples were clean as a whistle, but I suggest you do a stool examination and full body examination as well, in order to establish a diagnosis. It could be Celiac disease, or something worse. But reason for gaining weight is very strange and I would like for you to tell us your results.

I am 56 and have those symptoms too. Had a transvahinal ultra sound to check for ovarian cancer and all they found was gas. Lots of it. So much gas that it was hiding my ovaries. It is still inconclusive what is causing my bloating and weight gain. It's scary.
