Hi,
I applogize if this is long winded, but I have been searching and searching and am getting no results, from doctors or otherwise and would greatly apprecaite some help. Here's my situation:
I am 24 yrs old. I had a baby 9 months ago, during the pregnancy I had pre-elcampsia and was induced. My blood pressure went down to normal in a few days. It gradually climbed and now I am on an ACE-inhibitor to try and control it. It ranges from high to very high throughout the day. But the problem I am really concerened with are this "dizzy spells" I have been experiencing. In "spells" throughout the day I will feel extremely dizzy, I am unable to speak, at least well, it feels like I run through what I am going to say in my head and then have to "force" it out of my mouth, I have trouble concentrating, I am irritable and have blurred vision, trouble remembering and recalling and tiredness. I have also had points where parts of my face go numb, usually my cheek. These "spells" will last for hours, sometimes with, sometimes without pain in my head and body. I was told it was silent migraines from my doctor, but it doesn't sound like the symptoms. I have had am MRI that came out normal, so did a vision test and am going to see a neurologist soon. Everyone in my family has HBP (over 30, exept in my case), no one has migraines, my paternal granmother died of MS, and a few have diabeties. I don't know what to think.
Other than what I have mentioned I am a very normal 24 yr old woman. My weight is normal, I exercise 5 days a week and get at least 7 hours of sleep a night (thanks to my wonderful daughter who has been sleeping through the night since 2 months :-D ). I just don't know what is going on with my body and am felling frustrated and scared, any thoughts/advice/experience or help woul be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Sounds like strokes. Kevin Sorbo (TV's Hercules) had strokes after visiting a chiropractor. He was in his late 20s, obviously excellent shape, so he was never tested until he was driving home from his chiropractor, and blacked out. They found over 5 blood clots in his brain. I would go straight to the ER the next time this happens. HBP always accompanies a stroke, because your heart pumps harder to push the blood past the clot. You have all the symptoms of a stroke.
