I cried. Not really rejoicing that I didn't have MS, but because I wanted an explanation for my symptoms. I'm glad I didn't have MS, but that meant starting all over again with trying to determine what was making feel that way.
Work continued on as did I. Then finally I changed jobs - one that I absolutely love! I work from home and build websites all day. I'm 52 and never thought I would ever find a job that I loved as much as this one. Well, almost immediately after leaving my prior job and working from home with my new job, all my symptoms went away.
The mind is a powerful thing - it can be your friend, but can also be your enemy. When it was suggested I had MS, I ran with it. In the back of my mind it would be a great way to get out of my job. So you know, I'd been there five years as a Director, and was paid very well, which, in my area, is difficult to find. That is why I stuck with the position for so long. I didn't originally hate that job. It's when the owner started to come in every day and literally stand behind me while I work that my symptoms started. Eventually, I grew to despise everything about that job.
The mind can make you have symptoms you normally don't have. Are there any stressors one's life? You're high school age and kids these days are terrible! I was one that was picked on in my day so I know what that feels - but today it's much worse with the invent of social media. Are there troubles with school? Either social or academia? Parents? Sibling rivalry? Even if there is an actual medical diagnosis, just keep in mind that stress and anxiety can enhance the symptoms.
I changed jobs in October 2012. I'm still working from home with the same company I changed to and never been happier and enjoyed working as much as I do now. I've gotten a bit "soft" due to sitting in front of the computer all day, and I rarely leave home. I need to start working out......
Anyway, no need for me to go off on those tangents. I do hope everything has worked out for you. Take care.
