I have really long irregular periods that average about 4-5 months. My current one started Nov. 1st and is still going. But I'm so tired I can barely do anything and just walking to class makes me so tired I feel like I went running. It's getting to the point now where it seriously affects my concentration and I've started to miss classes.

I've read a lot about diagnoses and stuff here and followed a lot of the links givenmpanda, but how do you know what to ask your doctor when you get chance to go see them? I've been for it before, but the things that I was put on didn't really help anything.

Thanks for reading and anyone who responds.

You could be anemic for bleeding this long. Anemia would certainly make you tired. Maybe you should have a blood work done and see if you should get any supplements like iron.

Long irregular periods can be caused by growth in your ovary/uterus. Birth control pills can be the cause too. A detailed ultrasound will help.
