2 or 3, maybe 4 days ago I was cleaning my buttcrack in the shower and accidentally scratched the side of my hole, causing it to hurt for the past few days whenever I wipe across that area.

A couple days ago I sat on the toilet for maybe 15-20 minutes. I had used the bathroom, but stayed sitting for a while looking at my phone. I read this article about a man who sat on the toilet for too long and got a rectal prolapse because of it. That made me feel like I should at least look at my hole and make sure I didn't do any severe damage to it the other day.

I squat over a mirror and shine a flashlight to look. When I did, it look like something was poking out of my anus. It wasn't red, it was like a blue almost? I'm not exactly sure how to describe it. Anyways, I got a piece of toilet paper and pushed on it, then it dissapeared. I tried to push it back out, but I couldn't get it to come back. I look up what that could be, and it came up with a rectal prolapse. However, it wasn't red so I don't think it could be that.

Skip to Thursday, and now I can't really poop. I get the urge, then I go to poop and only a small amount comes out.

Today, I had Cheerio's with Almond Milk for lunch (and I didn't have breakfeast). Maybe an hour later I got the urge to poop and again, only a small amount came out. I squatted over a mirror immediately afterwards and saw the same thing I saw the other day. This time I was only on the toilet for no longer than 10 minutes. I pushed it again and it dissapeared. My stomach feels off now too, but that only started after I had the cereal.

I really need to know if there's something wrong with me. I am freaking out that I have Hemroids or a Rectal Prolapse. Could it be that I'm just really constipated? Is the thing poking out of my butt normal? It looks like skin that just comes out when you push out poop, but I'm not sure. Please give me advice cause I'm really really worried.

If this helps, I'm 17 (almost 18), 5 foot 6, 152 pounds, White American, and I have Tourette's

What you're describing could indeed be related to several conditions, including hemorrhoids, which are swollen veins in the lower rectum or anus that can sometimes protrude outside the body and appear blue or purple. They can be pushed back in gently, as you described. Rectal prolapse, which is a more serious condition where part of the large intestine slips outside the anus, usually presents as a red protrusion and is often accompanied by other symptoms. Given that you are able to push the protrusion back in and it does not stay out, it might not be a full prolapse but could be a partial or beginning stage of one, known as a mucosal prolapse or internal hemorrhoids.

The difficulty with bowel movements and the sensation that you're not able to completely evacuate could be due to constipation, which can sometimes accompany these conditions or be a separate issue.

The discomfort in your stomach after eating could be related or could be a separate digestive issue such as a food intolerance or a reaction to something you ate.

Considering your symptoms and concerns, here is what I would advise:

  1. Avoid Straining: When you're having a bowel movement, try not to strain too hard as this can worsen hemorrhoids or other conditions.

  2. Diet and Hydration: Ensure you're eating a high-fiber diet and drinking plenty of fluids to help prevent constipation.

  3. Sitz Baths: Taking warm baths can help reduce discomfort and may help with the symptoms.

  4. Limit Toilet Time: Try not to sit on the toilet for longer than necessary to avoid additional pressure on the rectum.

  5. Monitor Your Symptoms: Keep an eye on your symptoms. If you notice increased pain, bleeding, or any other concerning changes, seek medical attention immediately.

  6. Discuss Your Overall Health: When you see your doctor, discuss your overall health, including your history of Tourette's, as it might be relevant in understanding your overall condition.

Hope this helps.
