Hey there.
Im a 23 year old girl, who used to have an impeccable period track record till a few recent strange-osities.
In July, I had my period twice with significant spotting in between. In August, I did not have my period at all, and two negative pregnancy tests. I've been having a dull ache in my left lower abdomen for a while, and decided to get an ultrasound done, which revealed polycystic ovaries.
I weigh 57kgs and am 5'3. My BMI is perfect.
I want to know whether a history of 2 year usage of the emergency contraceptive pill caused this, and if so, what is the treatment.
the first doctor i went to suggested i take primolut-N for 15 days and come back when my period starts. i went for a second opinion, and the lady said i should first get LH:FSh tests along with insulin resistance and TSH level tests.
I can not afford these tests. and i really miss my period.
I read some where that taking OCPs can regulate my cycle. is that okay?
I feel like my ovary is palpable (left) and i feel a dull ache.
Help!
