I had a partial thyroidectomy 3 weeks ago and I had my stitches removed a week after surgery. I have a drainage hole in my throat in the middle of my neck. After she remove stitches I still have drainage because the 1/4inch hole is not completely closed. It is reddish yellowish liquid. Is that normal and how long does it usually take for a drainage hole and your neck to to usually close up after surgery.
