Me and my boyfriend were messing around the other night when we noticed his gooch was bleeding. It looked very dry as it had white flaky skin and he said it was itchy. It looks like its been like that for a while due to the extent of it. It was even bleeding in some patches were he must have been excessively scratching it.
Does anyone know what it is and what may have caused it?

i am 20 years old male and have exact same problem for more than 2 years. I did not see a doctor because i thought it is temporary and will go away by itself. Sometimes when water touches that area, it hurts like hell while I am in the shower. Itching feels good and but excessive itching leads to bleeding. Please let me know if you have found the solution

Probably dehydrated, drink more water and try wearing more airy clothing in that area with the use of a little ointment, but get it checked out to make sure it's not a fungal infection from an acidic pH imbalance. Usually drinking a little baking soda mixed with water, eating a little raw garlic and making sure to get organic veggies along with keeping that area moisturized and medication applied in case of fungal infection. Test the water in your shower to see if it's too acidic in pH as well with those little test strips you buy at the hardware store or pool supply places. Sometimes a coconut oil and baking soda mixture will balance out the pH of the skin and treat the area to help it heal faster.
