early period while on Birth Control

My period started a week early in spite of being on birth control pills (Lutera)... should I continue taking the white pills?

Because if I do... then I will be taking the green pills during the week AFTER my period, which leaves me unprotected during a critical week, right?

Should I skip the rest of the white ones and take the green ones now? Or should I continue to take the pills as normal?
