I took penicillin and now my super heavy flow is normal flow. Yippee!! I read up and found out it is rather normal for changes in you menstrual flow when on antibiotics. It changes the estrogen levels etc.

For those of you who have taken Amox. like I have twice a day for a week and lost their period, googled into it, found this page which had complaints of having period symptoms but no bleeding and dreaded everything you've read? Then please continue reading on in this paragraph to hear GOOD NEWS. i never found anything to read about anyone who returned to this page to confirm they DID eventually get their period "X" amount of days/weeks/months later and is or is not consistant... REST EASY. I GOT MY PERIOD 6 DAYS LATE BUT I GOT IT. The body will naturally protect itself from harm. Think about how your body would normally drop an egg when you ovulate but when you are taking antibiotics, the body's levels change from the meds which are ingested to fix what it is you are taking them for. In conclusion, the body withholds the egg to protect the body and will wait until the medicine passes from your body to restart allowing you to get back to normal SO GIVE IT TIME. The loss of periods are most likely not permanent and worrying only adds to the stress which also doesn't help you REregulate.

Hi, i took cefixime tablet for 6days well it was asked for 7days and after 14 days i did pregnancy test as I was not getting periods since last 2weeks which showed me a positive result!! Is it correct or because of the usage of the tablets??
