Im on 3 antibiotics and I was having the same issuse you are likely to get pregnet quicker because your hormones are at its strongest basically hot showers and realxing will eventually bring your period down

I am having the same issue. I've been taking amoxycillin for about a week now, three times a day for a root canal. It is effecting everything! My pee smells like it, I'm having lots of clear discharge that looks similar to losing your mucus plug ( I know that's graphic but its really causing me concern and I need to tell someone!) My period feels like its coming but it hasn't. I'm also more moody than usua . I really hope I'm not expecting, I don't think I am thoug . I just wish I knew why this is happening to me now!

I have always had a regular cycle . Max to max my periods have delayed 2-3 days only. My date was 24th of May but on that very day i got a stomach infection and got 3 injections, drips and antibiotics . I am 11days late now . I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and all came negative . I dont feel like my periods gonna start any soon . Should i take the necessary tests ? Kindly help if some one is facing a similar problem.

My period started this morning, and I also started my dose of Augmentin at the same time for my throat and cough problems. My period lasted only half a day. In the afternoon, I checked my pad and there were no signs of blood. I suspected that the antibiotic had something to do with it because something like this had happened before. I was on my second day of period and I had to get a penicillin shot. After that day, my period stopped and I missed it for months.

Can antibiotics cause the opposite effect .. I was on pencillian for a week..period was delayed finally came but not heavy. I am still bleeding on 8th day now normally they last 6 days max as I am not on the pill..I have never had this problem before and this is the first time I took pencillian whilst taking it I had severe diaharrea and thrush and now bleeding longer than usual....

I was prescribed a 10-day dosage of 500mg Keflex for a minor case of cellulitis. I started taking it and a few days later started a very light period that only lasted a couple of days. The following month, I was a week late. It was a very heavy period and I had excruciating cramps. I also had vomiting and diarrhea while on the antibiotics and I had never experienced this before, even when on 500mg Cephalexin. I don't know if this is specific to the generic or if my body has just changed and is more sensitive, but this experience makes me very reluctant to ever take Keflex again.

I was on a 10 day course of cephalexin for before and after my wisdom teeth extraction. My period is not regular however only by a day or two. I should've started my period at least 4 days ago and it's still a no show. I'm like 99.5% sure I'm not pregnant so I have to agree with you ladies and say these antibiotics ARE affecting our menstrual cycles. After doing some research I've found other websites that mention antibiotics may delay your period, but I think it should be a side effect listed so we can all stop freaking out and turning to the Internet for these answers.
