So glad I found this website. I took Keflex after having an accident and gashing my elbow and chipping the bone. I am now 4 days late for my period. Had me worried about pregnancy but a pregnancy test was negative. After reading all of these responses I'm sure it is a side effect of the antibiotic. I also had a toradol shot at the ER after the accident. Good luck in getting back to your regular routine ladies. Women have it tough sometimes! Ugh.

Yes, I agree with you. I think that it depends on the antibiotic and the person, seen as how some women say it affects their period and some dont.

I am currently having the same issue. Finished the bactrim and I have had my cycle now for 17 days . Phoned my Doctor and was told Bactrim can cause these irregular cycles. Could take up to 3 months before returning to normal cycle.

Did you ever receive your period ?? Im kind of going through the same thing . Was it just a delay due to the medication?

How did this end up for you? I'm facing a similar situation, on round 3 of antibiotics (nitrofurantoin, bactrim, now cipro) although I have an IUD and so my period is always iffy. My breasts are tender though and I'm cramping--just no period or spotting.
