Hi,
My name is Rachel. I am 25 years old. 2 years ago during a tubal ligation I found out I had endometriosis. I went through the hormone treatments and birth controls and nothing seemed to help so this past November my doctor did a complete hysterectomy. It is now July and I am having pain during and after intercourse, I am swelling and hurting in my lower abdomen. I went to the doctor this past friday and she did an exam and said it looked like I now had endometriosis on my bladder and that the hormones I was on caused it to show back up (which I totally do not understand how that is possible) so she changed my hormones and told me to give it 6 weeks to see if that takes care of everything. Is that possible? Can changing my hormones take away the stuff that is already there? I am so confused and I am not sure I am asking the right questions to make myself understand. I just thought after the hysterectomy I would be done dealing with this. Is this something I will have to keep dealing with even though I no longer have a uterus? Can it keep showing back up? If you could answer any of my questions I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
