I am scheduled for a hysterectomy in 2 weeks and i am scared out of my mind.. i dont know if i really need it. I had surgery for endometriosis 14 years ago and have been dealing with irregular bleeding and pain for the last 2 years or so. My OB/GYN said i had the HPV gene, but had not affected my cells yet.. my pap exams have been normal for the past 2 years. I am wondering if a hysterectomy is necessary on my case. i dont want to deal with hormone therapy and all the horror stories i've been reading about. any advice? guidance?
