Hello, im 16 and a virgin. Im circumsized. First off this problem has been there as long as ive known. Since I was a little kid. Prolly since I was born. But I noticed a smell thing of skin about 1cm down inside my urethra(My penis) and its a very thin peice of skin connecting the left side and the right side of my urethra. It dosn't hurt or anything. The color of it is the same as the rest of the inside of the urethra. I was just wondering if it's one of those random things that people get that are harmless? I feel like i can cut it and it will just be gone but i don't want to becuase I don't know what that will do. Im just now concerned about it because im so curious. Help.

Hi Gundly,

I'm not too sure what this could be, it points to the possibility of a urethral wart but the fact that its been there your whole life and it hasn't got bigger sort of disproves that one.

It's probably just a piece of skin, but I'm only guessing and you should see a doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Also, don't go cutting it yourself. You could cut the wrong thing etc or cause an infection. If it needs to be removed the doctor will recommend it and have you sent to a specialist for its removal.

Hope this has helped a bit, keep us posted and let us know what it turns out to be :-D

Yeah it hasn't gotten bigger. Just a thin peice of skin attached from one side to the other about 1cm down.

That definitely rules the wart out then.

Just get yourself booked in to see a doctor and you can know for sure what it definitely is.

Does anybody else have any experiences of this?

I have a vague memory of noticing something like this when I was a kid, prior to puberty.

But I don't recall ANY problems with it, other than noticing it.

If you are having NO problems or symptoms from it, leave it alone. If it any broke, don't try to fix it.
But you can ask your doc on the next visit. OK?

I do, always have. I was curious if it was something everyone had and just didn't talk about. It's definitely not something wrong. I am 25 now so it didn't go away after puberty

Hey I have the same exact thing as you described. I went to a surgeon and he told me it's just extra skin and was something that we were just born with. It's a simple procedure to cut it off but the only downside of it is the urthera hole can close after the procedure which will lead to you not be able to uirinate and then would have to get another surgery. I do plan getting this surgery in the coming months.

I have the same issue. I did some research online and mine is like this guy's https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Open_urethral_meatus.jpeg
Went to Dr. to make sure it wasn't anything dangerous, and while it is not normal to have that, as long as it's not causing problems. If yours is like this then I think ur good to go
