MY 1 YEAR OLD SON HAS SOME YELLOWISH DRAINAGE COMING FROM THE INTERIOR CORNERS OF HIS EYES.

This is usually caused by a blocked tear duct. This is something that is common for newborns and infants. If the process of draining tears isn’t done properly than it is possible that fluid which wasn’t drained properly becomes infected. If this happens, the discharge from your infant’s eyes will be yellow and this is sign of infection in the region of the blocked tear ducts.

So it is best to visit your pediatrician as soon as possible to check if this is the case with your child.

You can try to do something by yourself but since this could be infection it is better to see a doctor. You could try massaging the tear duct that is located beneath the tiny bump in the nasal corner of each eye but it is better that your doctor does this or at least show you how to do this.
