Well about 3 weeks ago I got hit in the head with a pole in two places (long story). I went to the doctor as there are 2 lumps and 1 big and 1 small. Went for an ultra sound and this is what it said:
Scans taken in the region of interest on the left side of the scalp show a lesion measuring 1.2 x 0.7 x 1.4cm. There is an artery passing immediately beneath and the spectral analysis and vascular wave forms are strongly suggestive of a false aneurysm. This appears to be largely thrombosed.
Some fluid is noted between the skull and overlying soft tissue on the right side of the skull suggestive of a liquefied haematoma.
No other focal pathology is detected.
My doctor doesn't seem very knowledgeable and referred me to another doctor for a small operation. He said I don't have to If i don't want to just if I get hurt there blood might come out.
Do I really need a small operation or if I leave it for a few months it will dissolve?
